@Simarillion: that's true... Ghent is full of medieval buildings. Perhaps Bruges could have more? But their is a rivalry between Ghent and Bruges for having the most authentic medieval city. So as an inhabitant of Ghent, I'm not going to BAT buildings from Bruges :p

That means you won't get offended when I'll ask for the Groote Markt in Brussels?
(Ik heb in Brussel gewoond voor 2 1 / 2 jaar, dat betekent dat ik ben geen grote fan van Brugge.)
ok, well I would separate the belfry from the Lakenhalle if I were you. It will reduce the time necessary for preview renders a lot. You will also need to export them separately to allow for greater flexibility in lotting (without adding unnecessarily complex LODs to the game).
For simtropolis I'll lot them as one BAT (as in real life)... For the medieval version I'll separate them but I'm afraid the Lakenhalle won't look so good without the belfry behind it.
The previews aren't that long (about one or two minutes for a medium render) so that's no problem just yet...
They are scaled as in real life:
From this angle you can see the yellow windows at the belfry. So that should be OK...
