Would .skp or .kmz be of any use to you? confuse

BTW, the last one is a World Heritage Site. biggrin

EDIT: Just had a look around and found out that .kmz can be converted to 3ds.
That means the question changed wink. You think they (and a bunch of similar ones)might be of any use for us? Or did you already dl them anyway?

And one for the industrial collection.
This one was one of the largest mills (and industrial buildings) in medieval Europe. It was built in the 14th century by the Order of Teutonic Knights in Gdansk.

These are looking like good, if a bit flat, models (they have the flat, google warehouse look to them. But buildings like these are a good start for a new BAT - but don't usually have windows etc). I love that mill, now THAT'S industry. smile.gif Where are these from...?

As you noticed already, they are indeed from the warehouse (they are .skp wink).
Reading a tutorial on how to convert them I noticed somebody saying that transparencies don't work and any textures would have to be redone. As a base to work on they still struck me as usefull.
I'll get you the the link for the mill later.

btw I've had a play around with that mill (at least getting it exported into max). However such models come through looking pretty bad (minus textures and no longer in properly manipulatable form).
Nevertheless I still used the model as an outline to trace the basic form and dimensions of the building, which saved a good half an hour; so it wasn't a wasted exercise at all. It's a shame they're not more usable though, but there may be ways around it.

However that mill is great and will still be coming to the game so thanks again for pointing it out.

(if you happen across any more HQ images of it (ideally whole sides)  let me know)

Here's another model I found, the belfry of the commune of saint-riquier in northern france, built in 1283. The model looks okay but I'm going to have a serious play with the textures to get it looking more lifelike.

Very nice specimen. With a bit of texture work it's going to be a little jewel.
