This is the thread for new members to introduce themselves, and ask any questions they may have about the site.

And now it's time to welcome SM's 4th member, the talented Frenchman, Manchou. thumbsup.gif

Machou already has a lot of great medieval-ish creations, and it's exciting to have you onboard. Before you ask though, the standard for BAT creation will be SD, sorry. wink.gif

Well, I am open to hear your thoughts on the SD/HD thing. I should have been more specific as I still want most smaller BATs to be HD, just not bigger ones (i.e most buildings) What do you think?

Thanks Simarillon :D ! I hope not to disappoint :)

Hum Thingfishs, All of my BATs are in HD, But i don't why the community are not enthousiastic about the HD, the quality in zoom 5 is the same in SD or HD ! the export of BATs is longer than SD but the render is better ;) ! With there is no SD only HD ... :| All of my game is in HD (only my creation and other HD plugins did by other players) !

That isn't my understanding, but I will do some tests to make sure. Obviously there is the file size factor as well... but these days that shouldn't be too much of a problem (compared to 2003)

I like HD and, as you said, filesize doesn't matter anymore nowadays.

good to see you here. Nice wolf? by the way. Two sims, oh no... FWIW simirillion gets referred to as sim around here, but simcard's short enough to not require abbreviation.

So I know you're from America, whereabouts? Paint us a picture...
